The Triumphant Joy of Ludwig Van Beethoven

In this 250th birth year of Ludwig van Beethoven, the Schiller Boston Chorus wishes to pay homage to this great artist with two concerts, the first of which will be Sunday May 31st, 2020 at 3 PM.

We will perform selections from Beethoven's Mass in C, African American Spirituals and solo arias and art songs by Beethoven and others.

Schiller Institute founder Helga LaRouche recently said, quoting Beethoven’s favorite poet Friedrich Schiller

“it is only through aesthetic education, through great classical art that the ennoblement of mankind can occur. It is time that mankind grew into a new paradigm, where the poets and the artists become the natural leaders of the age”

Beethoven would agree, in fact he once noted that if only people understood the principles embedded in his music, war would become an impossibility.

Beethoven's spirit, his mission and his musical creations are part of shaping civilization as we know it. He is in this truest sense "immortal" and in that immortality Beethoven found strength and victorious joy!

Through our concerts and events, the Schiller choruses are committed to uplifting our population out of the cultural affects of decades of war and economic breakdown by reviving the spirit of Beethoven!  Therefore, this year of 2020, join us and "think like Beethoven!"
