International Youth Dialogue with Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche

On Sunday, March 17, at the conclusion of the Russian Presidential elections, Vladimir Putin, responding to a reporter’s question regarding French President Macron’s Feb. 26 comments that deployment of NATO ground troops to Ukraine could not be ruled out, said: “It is clear to everyone that this will be one step away from a full-scale World War III. I think hardly anyone is interested in this.” And yet, the guns are loaded for a new Sarajevo, and the adherents of the “Rules Based Order” in Paris, Washington, Berlin, London, and Wall Street have shown no intention of turning back from the brink.
Each of us must look upon ourselves as members of a human species in an unprecedented danger of self-extinction. Our ship is sailing through a raging tempest, and it is not possible to know whether we shall capsize, or make it to our destination. But certain things are knowable. We know that man is meant to live in harmony with his brothers. We know that a solution must exist, no matter how severe the crisis may be. We know that if the people of every nation understood the true danger, they would stand up together to demand peace. Each day sees the escalation of a geopolitical confrontation between the West on the one side, trying to maintain dominance in the world, and Russia, China and what is already the Global Majority of the Global South on the other side. If we cannot break that war dynamic, we could have a global thermonuclear war in a very short time.
Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche has summarized the situation, and the pathway forward, as follows:
“A new world economic order is emerging, involving the vast majority of the countries of the Global South. They have declared: Colonialism is over! The European nations and the U.S. must not fight this effort, but, by joining hands with the developing countries, must cooperate to shape the next epoch of the development of the human species to become a renaissance of the highest and most noble expressions of creativity!”
We invite the youth of this planet to enter courageously into a necessary dialogue about the principles that we must employ if we are to halt the march toward WWIII, halt the genocide in Gaza, the catastrophic war in Sudan, the vicious hunger that stalks Haiti, Yemen, Afghanistan, and so many other nations. How will we feed the world? How will we build a peace order? How will we provide tens of trillions in credit for advanced scientific development for all? Upon which scientific discoveries must our future be built? Upon what concept of the human species?
