The large demonstrations around the world following the killing of George Floyd were triggered by a brutal murder—but were not caused by it. The underlying cause is a broad and long standing injustice in social and economic conditions across the entire world. Either we remedy that injustice now, or the whole world could plunge into a new dark age.
We have the program to address this crisis—the LaRouche Plan to reopen the economy—and it needs to be implemented now. If we don’t move with such a program for 1.5 billion new productive jobs worldwide, which includes jobs building modern health systems and infrastructure in every nation, we will face a complete disaster of civilization.
